A Magazine of Ideas

About Us

by David Robinson last modified Friday, July 18, 2008

The American is a magazine of ideas for business leaders. Modeled on Henry Luce's original vision for Fortune Magazine, it surveys the full scope of American life through the lens of business and economics. The magazine is published six times a year—our first issue came out on November 15, 2006. Our web site, American.com, takes the same editorial mission to the Internet, with original writing every day and a selection of thought-provoking links from around the web. The American is a project of The American Enterprise Institute.

For subscription inquiries, call 1-888-295-9007 (8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday) or email AMNcustserv@cdsfulfillment.com. Outside the U.S. and Canada, call (515) 237-3669.
