Alexis Hamilton is Editorial Assistant at The American.  She graduated cum laude from Davidson College in May 2008 with a B.A. in religion and political science. Miss Hamilton received Davidson’s Alberta Smith DeVane award and departmental honors for her senior research thesis on Just War and Humanitarian Intervention. While at Davidson, she co-founded and edited the Davidson Reader, a campus publication on politics and the arts. Miss Hamilton was a Publius fellow at the Claremont Institute before joining the magazine in August 2008. She lives in Washington, D.C.
