Congressional Reform and the 'People's House'

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

An address by House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio).

The House of Representatives is known as "the people's house," but public trust in the Democrat-controlled Congress is now as low as it was in 2006, when the Republicans had a majority. According to a recent PSRA/Pew study, only 31 percent of the public want "most members of Congress reelected," while 56 percent do not. At this AEI event, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) will outline his vision of reforms that are needed to address the past failures of Democrats and Republicans alike.
