Confidence in Leaders

Gallup recently asked adults how much confidence they have in different leaders and officeholders to do the right thing for the economy. Respondents were most positive about business leaders (52 percent had a great deal or a fair amount of confidence in them) and least positive about the Republicans in Congress (24 percent). Forty-two percent had a great deal of confidence in President Obama (57 percent had little or none). As for Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, 37 voiced high confidence, and 43 percent low confidence.
