Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have been wooing prominent Democrats such as Al Gore and John Edwards, hoping to get a major endorsement that might put them over the top. According to the Pew Research Center, however, large majorities of Democrats say that an endorsement by the former vice president or the former North Carolina senator won’t affect their vote. Just over a quarter of Democrats say Gore’s endorsement of one of the candidates would make them more likely to vote for that candidate. Eighteen percent say that about an Edwards endorsement.
