First-Term Reflections

When asked by AP/GfK/Roper pollsters what kind of president Barack Obama has been thus far, 13 percent of respondents said outstanding, 25 percent said above average, 26 percent said average, 15 percent said below average, and 20 percent said poor. In a new Marist/McClatchy poll, 40 percent of respondents said Obama’s second term would be better than his first, 28 percent said it would be worse, and 30 percent said it would be about the same.
