Social Security Promises06/10/2014
In mid-May, when CBS News asked non-retired adults whether the Social Security system would have the money available to provide the benefits they expected for their retirement, only 32 percent said it would. A large majority, 63 percent, said it would not. In December 2011, non-retirees were more optimistic — 36 percent expected the money to be there. The new responses are in line with those of other pollsters that ask similar questions.
